Salesforce Internship Trainer

StrideLabs is seeking a Salesforce Internship Trainer to lead live instruction and help shape the curriculum for our upcoming Salesforce Platform Foundations Internship Program.

This is a great opportunity for a Salesforce professional who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping people build careers in technology. The Trainer will work closely with the StrideLabs team to guide interns through Salesforce fundamentals, certification preparation, hands-on projects, and a final capstone experience.

About the Program

StrideLabs’ Salesforce Foundations Internship is a 12-week, cohort-based training program designed to prepare participants with little or no prior Salesforce experience to earn the Salesforce Certified Platform Foundations credential while developing hands-on Salesforce Administrator and Business Analyst skills.

Interns will complete a guided Trailhead curriculum, K2 University certification preparation, hands-on Salesforce Playground projects, and a final capstone presentation.

The program is funded in part by an EDD Bay Tech workforce grant and is offered in partnership with regional workforce and placement organizations.

About the Role

The Salesforce Internship Trainer will serve as both the face of the classroom and a co-builder of the course.

In this role, you will lead live instruction, motivate and support interns throughout the program, and help participants work toward the Salesforce Platform Foundations certification. You will also partner with the Co-CEO and Coach to design, pace, and continuously improve the curriculum.

This role is especially well suited for a Salesforce professional who is passionate about teaching and wants to help shape how the next generation of Salesforce Administrators and Business Analysts are trained.

Position Details

  • Position: Salesforce Internship Trainer
  • Employment Type: Contractor (1099), part-time
  • Location: Remote
  • Compensation: DOE
  • Time Commitment: Approximately 10–12 hours per week, including live instruction, preparation, grading, and curriculum development
  • Program Length: 12-week cohort
  • Class Schedule: 3 class days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)
  • Live Sessions: 2.5 hours per session
  • Cohort Dates: September 21 – December 11, 2026
  • Reports To: Michele McGeoy, Co-CEO

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Facilitation

  • Lead live class sessions three days per week, with 2.5-hour sessions throughout the 12-week cohort.
  • Teach core Salesforce Administrator concepts, including data modeling, security, automation, reports and dashboards, and Lightning Experience customization.
  • Make complex Salesforce concepts accessible to first-time learners and career changers.
  • Teach the use of Claude as a Business Analysis tool.
  • Facilitate in-class engagement activities, including Kahoot review sessions and guest speaker visits.
  • Hold regular office hours to help interns work through Trailhead modules, Playground exercises, and K2 University practice exams.
  • Track intern progress, including Trailhead points, K2 practice scores, and deliverable completion.
  • Proactively reach out to interns who are falling behind and help them get back on track.
  • Prepare interns for exam day, including logistics, final review, and confidence-building.
  • Support interns through their certification results and next steps.
  • Coach interns through their final capstone presentations and celebrate their accomplishments.
  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment for adult learners who are new to technology.

Curriculum Development & Maintenance

  • Co-own the Trailhead trailmix by selecting and sequencing modules, retiring redundant or outdated content, and confirming Trailhead Playground/sandbox requirements.
  • Coordinate K2 University certification-preparation assignments with Trailhead homework to maintain a balanced and manageable weekly workload.
  • Build and maintain the weekly class schedule, including class activities, homework, and deliverables.
  • Design or refine intern deliverables and rubrics, such as data model challenges, Lightning app builds, and capstone presentations.
  • Recommend and help schedule guest speakers and other enrichment activities.
  • Gather intern feedback throughout each cohort and use that feedback, along with completion and certification pass rates, to improve the curriculum for future cohorts.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active Salesforce Administrator certification.
  • Prior experience teaching, training, mentoring, or coaching adult learners through a bootcamp, corporate training program, higher education, workforce development program, or similar setting.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of core Salesforce Administrator skills, including:
    • Data modeling
    • Security and sharing
    • Automation
    • Reports and dashboards
    • Lightning Experience customization
  • Excellent communication skills, with patience and empathy for first-generation technology learners.
  • Comfortable using standard instructional tools such as video conferencing, Google Workspace, Kahoot, or similar platforms.
  • Reliable availability for the full cohort schedule.

Preferred

  • Experience with Salesforce NPSP or nonprofit-sector Salesforce work.
  • Salesforce Business Analyst Certification.
  • Familiarity with Trailhead trailmix curation and Trailhead Playground management.
  • Experience with K2 University or other Salesforce certification-preparation platforms.
  • Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Platform App Builder or Advanced Administrator.
  • Background in curriculum design or instructional design.
  • Lived experience or strong familiarity with the workforce development and career-change population StrideLabs serves.

What Success Looks Like

In this role, success means helping interns complete the program with the skills, confidence, and experience they need to take their next step into the Salesforce ecosystem.

By the end of the cohort:

  • Interns have completed their Trailhead trailmix, K2 University preparation, and required deliverables.
  • A significant majority of interns sit for and pass the Salesforce Certified Platform Foundations exam.
  • Interns leave the program with a polished capstone project, an updated Trailblazer profile, and greater confidence navigating Salesforce.
  • The curriculum becomes measurably stronger with each cohort through ongoing feedback, evaluation, and iteration.
